About the role
Embark on a 3-year apprenticeship with Transport for London (TfL) on the Elizabeth line, focusing on maintenance. This role is critical in ensuring the ongoing performance and safety of the Elizabeth line, its stations, and assets, serving an estimated 200 million passengers annually. You will gain hands-on experience across various departments including planning, Health & Safety, and Engineering, working alongside qualified engineers and technicians. The program balances practical work with theoretical knowledge, requiring you to build a portfolio of evidence. The first year involves understanding the network's assets, with a focus on Maintenance Engineering before moving towards frontline operations. The program will then follow the Electrification pathway. Upon successful completion, opportunities for career progression include supervisory roles, project management, and site engineering within the Elizabeth line maintenance team.
Entry requirements
- Minimum of 2 GCSEs Grade A*-C or Grade 4 and above (or equivalents) including Maths and English Language. Must be 18 years old by 7th September 2026.
