About the role

The purpose of a Nursery Practitioner is to create and maintain safe and welcoming learning environments for children. This role involves responsibility for a group of key children, understanding and supporting their needs to provide fantastic learning opportunities. Duties include contributing to a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to nursery policies, ensuring the welfare of children, protecting them from harm, and maintaining appropriate child-to-staff ratios. The role requires reflecting on practices, planning engaging activities, leading observations and assessments for children's learning and development, and keeping accurate records. Building strong bonds with key children and supporting colleagues is essential. Partnership with parents/carers, fostering trust and open communication, is also a key aspect of the role. Potential for full-time employment upon completion.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above. Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, administrative skills, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
