About the role

This apprenticeship offers an exciting opportunity to become a Service Delivery Driver with ReFood. Over 12 months, you will gain comprehensive training in transport, customer service, and operations. You'll attend regular sessions covering professional driving standards, vehicle safety, incident management, and customer service. A significant part of the training involves shadowing experienced drivers to build practical skills and knowledge. At the 6-month mark, you will begin Category C driver training and DVSA testing. From months 7-12, you will drive under supervision as a Trainee Driver, applying safe and compliant practices. The role involves collecting and exchanging food and catering waste bins, performing daily vehicle checks, and accurately completing documentation. You will also act as a professional ambassador for ReFood, ensuring excellent service to clients. Upon successful completion, you will be equipped with a Category C license and practical experience, with the potential to secure a permanent Service Delivery Driver role.

Entry requirements

  • Full, clean Category B (car) driving licence. Functional Skills in English and Maths (minimum Entry Level 3.5). Good understanding or awareness of road safety and regulations. Willingness to learn and develop knowledge in professional driving, vehicle operation, and logistics. Responsible attitude towards accurate documentation and compliance. Smart, professional appearance and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Commitment to working 40 hours per week.
