About the role

GTG Training is recruiting for an Apprentice Autocare Technician on behalf of Drayton Motors BYD in Boston. This is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career in the automotive industry. You will learn to diagnose, test, service, and repair vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and manufacturer standards. Duties include interpreting technical data, maintaining accurate records, adhering to warranty procedures, and ensuring parts are accounted for. You will also be responsible for workshop cleanliness, attending college for coursework and examinations, protecting customer vehicles, and safeguarding tools and equipment. The role involves investigating and reporting on vehicle serviceability, producing electronic vehicle health checks, and strictly adhering to health and safety procedures. Progression to Level 3 Maintenance and Repair is possible.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include communication, attention to detail, customer care, problem-solving, number skills, teamwork, initiative, patience, and physical fitness.
