About the role

This is an apprenticeship opportunity for an Apprentice Health Care Assistant at DR COHEN & PARTNERS. The role involves a range of clinical duties such as conducting new patient registration checks, performing clinical observations and procedures (blood pressure monitoring, urinalysis, phlebotomy, weight monitoring, simple wound dressings), and providing lifestyle advice. The apprentice will also assist with patient care, maintain confidentiality, adhere to practice policies, and promote equality. Administrative duties include maintaining patient records, completing documentation, and supporting health promotion initiatives. Responsibilities also extend to managing the clinical environment, stock control, and adhering to health and safety procedures. The apprenticeship includes one day per month at Leeds City College and offers potential for a permanent position upon completion. Access to a vehicle is beneficial due to working across three sites.
