About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a Community Activator Sports Coach at the Herts Disability Sports Foundation (HDSF). You will support a team of instructors in preparing, delivering, and reviewing a variety of physical activity sessions for diverse participants across Hertfordshire. Duties include equipment checks, setup, supporting session delivery with a focus on inclusivity and individual needs, and assisting with day-to-day administration. You will also have the chance to visit schools to deliver cycle or scooting training and be involved in delivering taster sessions for adapted physical activities. A key part of the role involves working with the Senior Instructor to review sessions and understand delivery methodologies. Loading and unloading session equipment, including bikes, will also be a responsibility. This role requires a willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check, safeguarding training, first aid training, and to work outdoors in all weather conditions. You must be able to arrange your own travel across Hertfordshire.
