About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to become a vital part of a healthcare team, delivering direct patient care and supporting registered practitioners. As an Apprentice Senior Healthcare Support Worker, you will maintain patient privacy and dignity while assisting with essential care, including mobility, monitoring vital signs, personal care, and meal assistance. Upon progression to a Senior HCW role, you will undertake a range of clinical duties with minimal supervision, such as blood pressure monitoring, oxygen saturation checks, and sample collection. This program will equip you with the knowledge and skills for a Level 3 Healthcare qualification and the Care Certificate. Upon completion, you can progress to roles like Student Nursing Associate or Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeships.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English: 4 (Essential), NVQ Level 2 or equivalent Health & Social Care: Pass (Desired)
