About the role
P.G.M. CARPENTRY CONTRACTORS LTD is seeking motivated individuals for a Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship in Maldon. This opportunity offers hands-on experience in various aspects of carpentry, from new-built homes to refurbishments. Apprentices will learn to understand drawings, take measurements, calculate materials, and work safely with tools and equipment under the guidance of experienced professionals. Duties include installation of joists, roofing, first and second fixing, window installation, cladding, decking, kitchen installation, and finals. The apprenticeship is a 4-year program, with the first 2 years involving weekly college attendance and the remainder spent on-site honing skills. Upon completion, apprentices will be fully qualified carpenters with the option for subcontractor roles.
