About the role
PURESLIDE LTD is seeking a reliable and experienced Bench Joiner Apprentice to join their factory team in Wakefield. This apprenticeship focuses on the manufacturing of high-quality bedroom and bathroom furniture units. The apprentice will be responsible for assembling furniture components using cam and dowel fixings, ensuring all products are assembled accurately and meet stringent quality standards. Key duties include reading and following assembly drawings, checking components for defects, using hand tools and workshop equipment safely, maintaining a clean workspace, and working efficiently to meet production targets. Previous experience in bench joinery or furniture assembly, particularly with cam and dowel systems, is preferred. Essential requirements include GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above, good communication skills, attention to detail, organisational skills, analytical skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
