About the role

This Level 2 Apprenticeship at In For The Accounts, in partnership with Kaplan, offers a fantastic opportunity to kick-start a career in finance. Apprentices will gain valuable hands-on experience while working towards a recognised AAT qualification. Key duties include bookkeeping and invoice processing using Xero, bank reconciliation, assisting with VAT returns and payroll, supporting account preparation, client communication, and general administration. This role is ideal for individuals new to accountancy or seeking a career change, with no prior experience required. The program covers fundamental bookkeeping, accountancy skills, and essential business and personal skills. Successful completion of modules such as Introduction to Bookkeeping, Principles of Bookkeeping Control, Principles of Costing, and Business Environment is required. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is potential for a permanent role with opportunities for further qualifications and increased responsibility as the practice grows.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English (9/A* - 4/C), GCSE Maths (9/A* - 4/C), good maths, IT and English skills, and a willingness to learn.
