About the role

The Gymnastics Coach Apprenticeship with COACH CORE FOUNDATION in Newcastle Upon Tyne offers a fantastic opportunity to develop into a fully qualified coach. Over 15 months, you will work under experienced staff, delivering safe, engaging, and fun gymnastics sessions to participants of all ages and abilities. You will assist with equipment setup and dismantling, deliver warm-ups, teach basic gymnastics skills, and lead cool-downs. Ensuring the safety and well-being of participants, managing group behaviour, and adhering to safeguarding policies are key responsibilities. The role also involves supporting events, holiday camps, and learning administrative tasks such as managing registers and communicating with parents. A significant part of the apprenticeship includes working towards a COACH CORE Apprenticeship Qualification, covering training days, assignments, coursework, and tutor reviews, alongside obtaining a BRITISH GYMNASTICS Level 1 qualification. This part-funded apprenticeship is specifically designed for 16-24-year-olds who have faced barriers to employment, education, or career progression, valuing enthusiasm, potential, and a willingness to learn over prior experience.
