About the role

The Renewal Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join their team as a Community Sport, Health & Youth Engagement Apprentice. This role combines community engagement, physical activity, health and wellbeing, mentoring and youth work. The apprentice will support activities that help children, young people and local residents become more active, healthier, more connected and more confident. Key duties include supporting the planning and delivery of sport and wellbeing activities, building positive relationships with community members, supporting mentoring activities, encouraging positive lifestyle choices, and collecting data. The role requires working directly with the public, including children and young people, and may involve some evening and occasional weekend working. The apprenticeship is part-funded and supported by Coach Core's charitable programme, aiming to create employment opportunities for young people who have faced barriers to education or employment. No prior experience is necessary, as enthusiasm and potential are key. Successful completion may lead to progression opportunities in community sport, health, youth work, and further professional development.
