About the role

As an Apprentice Day Care Assistant at Rose Care Group, you will join a supportive team, helping residents feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. Your responsibilities will include supporting residents with personal care, mobility, meals, and following care plans while promoting dignity and independence. You will build positive relationships, monitor health changes, complete records, and maintain a safe environment. This hands-on role involves personal care and supporting residents with varying needs. Apprentices will receive 6 hours of paid off-the-job training per week. The apprenticeship is delivered through work-based training, including face-to-face sessions and remote calls with a Learner Coach, along with a workplace mentor. You will also obtain Functional Skills in English and maths if needed. Reviews will occur every 12 weeks with the apprentice, line manager, and Learner Coach. The apprenticeship leads to a Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship L2 Qualification over 8 months.

Entry requirements

  • Aged 16-21. Aged 22-24 if eligible with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), care experienced, currently in prison, or recently left prison. Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
