About the role

Join Rose Care Group as an Apprentice Day Care Assistant! Support residents with personal care, daily activities and well-being while gaining valuable hands-on experience, fully funded training and opportunities for career progression.

As an Apprentice Day Care Assistant, you'll join a friendly and supportive team, helping residents feel safe, comfortable and well cared for. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting residents with personal care, mobility, and meals, following individual care plans, encouraging participation in activities, and building positive relationships. You'll also monitor and report changes in residents' health, complete accurate care records, and maintain a safe environment.

This is a hands-on care role involving personal care and mobility assistance. Apprentices must commit to 6 hours of paid off-the-job training each week. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK as Rose Care Group does not offer sponsorship.

Your apprenticeship includes work-based training with a Lifetime Learner Coach and an in-workplace mentor. You will obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths if needed. Reviews will be held every 12 weeks. You will be working towards a Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship L2 Qualification over 8 months.

Entry requirements

  • Aged 16-21. If aged 22-24, may be eligible with EHCP, care experience, or recently released from prison. Supporting evidence may be required.
