About the role

Upton Dental Surgery is seeking an Apprentice Dental Nurse to join their team. This apprenticeship offers ongoing support, development, and training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified dental nurse. Daily activities include assisting dentists in providing treatments, offering high-level patient care, setting up and cleaning surgeries, sterilizing instruments, updating patient records, maintaining equipment, and preparing instruments and materials. You will adhere to practice policies and procedures. A passion for the dental sector is essential, and candidates should not be deterred by the sight of blood. A course of Hepatitis B vaccines and a clear enhanced DBS are required. Upon successful completion, you will be qualified to register with the General Dental Council (GDC), with opportunities for further training in areas like dental hygiene or therapy, and career progression into roles such as head nurse or practice manager.
