About the role

Our apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to launch an exciting career in optics while earning a full-time wage. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for greeting customers, booking appointments for eye tests, performing pre-screening procedures, and assisting customers in selecting suitable eyewear. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and a strong desire to develop a career in the optical field.

Key duties include providing top-notch customer advice, managing appointment bookings, conducting patient pre-screening, and taking frame measurements. You will also play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the store by identifying and resolving any issues that may arise.

Entry requirements

• GCSE Maths at grade 9-4 (A*-C). Strong communication, organisational, customer care, and teamwork skills, with the ability to take initiative.
