About the role

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. You will provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery, with duties spanning reception, patient queries, payments, appointment booking, sterilising equipment, recording patient records, supporting patient wellbeing, cleaning dental areas, and managing stock. Passing a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and getting a Hepatitis B vaccine are required. With experience, you may progress to roles like team manager or dental practice manager, or with further training, become a dental therapist, dental hygienist, or orthodontic therapist.
