About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to work within a nursery setting and gain valuable experience in childcare. You will be responsible for creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children aged 0-5, adhering to EYFS requirements. Key duties include participating in indoor and outdoor activities, supporting children with self-care needs, communicating with colleagues and parents, and providing excellent customer service to external visitors. The role involves working with children from three months to five years old within a well-regarded nursery in Ilford. You will also liaise with external customers and parents.

Training will be provided, including online sessions with a tutor for the initial 8 weeks, and a dedicated childcare assessor will support you throughout your apprenticeship. A laptop or PC is essential for online learning. Upon successful completion, there is potential for a full-time position and further career progression into roles such as Room Leader or management training, with opportunities to progress into primary education or paediatric nursing.
