About the role
Join the SEND team at SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE AND STROUD ACADEMY TRUST-CENTRAL as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant. This role involves supporting students with additional needs in their learning, confidence, and progress. You will work alongside teachers in the classroom, prepare educational resources, and contribute to an inclusive and high-quality educational environment. Key duties include assisting in the development of pupils, implementing individual education plans, providing targeted interventions, maintaining student records, and supporting students with behaviour and emotional difficulties. You will also assist the SENCO, prepare student work, invigilate exams, provide pastoral support, and participate in school enrichment programs. The apprenticeship offers a pathway to a paid permanent position as a qualified teaching assistant.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English Language 9-4/A*-C, GCSE Mathematics 9-4/A*-C. Excellent communication, IT, attention to detail, and organisational skills are essential.
