About the role

As an Early Years Educator Apprentice, you will work as part of a supportive early years team to provide a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children. You will gain practical experience while working towards your Early Years Educator qualification. Duties include supporting children's learning and development through play, planned activities and everyday routines, while developing your knowledge and skills under the guidance of experienced practitioners. Key responsibilities involve supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities, building positive relationships with children, parents/carers and colleagues, and helping to provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children. You will also support children's personal care needs, encourage independence, confidence and social skills, and observe children's interests, development and progress. The role requires following safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and behaviour policies, working effectively as part of the nursery team, and maintaining clean learning environments. Communication with parents/carers and other professionals is also key, along with attending training and taking responsibility for professional development. This role is subject to safeguarding and recruitment checks, with opportunities for continued development within early years education.
