Nursery Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable work experience at Little Jannah Daycare Nursery, working alongside experienced professionals. You will be mentored by room leaders and management, learning essential skills for a career in childcare. Duties will include shadowing senior staff and gradually taking on responsibilities such as serving food, changing nappies, undertaking observations, setting up activities based on the curriculum, cleaning resources, preparing the garden, conducting risk assessments, and participating in yearly planning. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for early years education and a desire to develop practical skills in a supportive environment.

Entry requirements

• GCSE Maths and English at grades 4-9 (A*-C). Essential skills include strong communication, IT proficiency, attention to detail, organization, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, administrative skills, numeracy, analytical thinking, logical reasoning, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgmental, patience, and physical fitness.
