Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 Early Years Educator

About the role

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone with some prior knowledge and experience within a nursery or school setting and especially someone passionate in childcare and early years, looking to further their career.

As an Early Years Educator, you will be responsible for providing an excellent range of activities that ensures children learn while having fun. You will support children's learning and development, including planning and observations, and prepare and maintain the environment and resources. This includes food preparation for breakfast, snacks, and afternoon tea, and supporting children's self-help needs. You will be expected to be creative, enthusiastic, and follow safeguarding rules. The role also requires undertaking first aid training and any other necessary training to meet legal requirements and standards, ensuring all health and hygiene requirements are adhered to.

Upon completion, you will develop into a Level 3 practitioner with the potential for a permanent position. There are also opportunities to pursue other childcare-related roles such as social work, teaching, or managerial positions.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (or equivalent)
