About the role
An Early Years Apprenticeship combines practical experience with training to learn how to care for and support children’s learning and development. Apprentices work in settings such as nurseries, helping plan activities, keep children safe and support their individual needs while working towards a recognised qualification.
Key responsibilities include acting as a Key Person for a group of children, planning and delivering age-appropriate activities aligned with the EYFS framework, maintaining accurate progress trackers, and providing regular updates to parents. Apprentices will also be responsible for safeguarding children, assisting with daily care routines, and collaborating with colleagues. Professional development through staff meetings and training is also expected.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, and a Level 2 qualification in Early Years.
