About the role
This apprenticeship offers a practical and theoretical approach to early years care and education. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting, working with children to support their learning, development, and wellbeing. Key duties include assisting in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities, maintaining a safe and stimulating environment, supporting daily routines, and building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. The role also involves adhering to safeguarding and health and safety policies, communicating professionally with stakeholders, and participating in ongoing training and professional development. Successful candidates will work towards a recognized early years qualification.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above, and an Early Years Level 2 qualification (Pass). Strong communication skills, attention to detail, patience, and a non-judgemental attitude are also desired.
