About the role

This is a physically demanding, hands-on role working on construction sites in all weather conditions throughout the year. You will be expected to work outdoors, carry out manual tasks and be comfortable using a range of tools, equipment and machinery while always following strict health and safety procedures. Good communication is essential, particularly with your assigned mentor and wider team, to ensure work activities and travel arrangements are well coordinated. Applicants must be reliable, safety-conscious and prepared to work hard as part of a professional team. The company offers 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, along with company sick pay. Apprentices will benefit from additional training and development opportunities, with clear progression routes available upon successful completion of the apprenticeship. Pay will be reviewed at the end of the programme, with the potential for continued employment and long-term job security. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to secure a permanent full-time position with PBS Construction. The company is committed to developing its workforce from within and will support continued training and career progression. Subject to performance, commitment and business needs, a pay review will also be undertaken on completion of the apprenticeship, providing the opportunity for increased earnings as skills and responsibilities develop. At PBS Construction, our people are at the heart of everything we do.
