About the role

Join Action for Care Ltd as a Level 2 Adult Care Worker apprentice and provide high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, behaviours that challenge, and additional complex needs. This role involves promoting independence, maintaining high standards of care, participating in care planning and reviews, administering medication, and contributing to effective communication within the team. You will also be responsible for administrative duties, maintaining case records, participating in training, and assisting in the overall running of the home. Essential requirements include good communication skills, a commitment to quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities/autism, knowledge of basic First Aid and medication, and an understanding of Equal Opportunities Policy, domestic skills, housekeeping, healthy eating, cooking, and finance. Desirable attributes include relevant qualifications, knowledge of learning disabilities and/or autism, experience with challenging behaviours, knowledge of residential care and Person Centred Planning, and a full current driving licence.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE Maths & English (grades 4-9) desirable. Good communication skills, attention to detail, organisation skills, team working, initiative, patience, caring.
