About the role

This apprenticeship is ideal for someone passionate about childcare and early years, looking to further their career. You will provide excellent activities for children, supporting their learning and development, preparing resources, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. Duties include assisting with food preparation, supporting children's self-help needs, and adhering to safeguarding and health & hygiene rules. You will undertake First Aid and other relevant training. Upon completion, you will be a qualified Level 3 practitioner with potential for permanent employment and future career progression into roles such as social work, teaching, or management. Didsbury Childminding offers a unique, homely, and natural environment inspired by the curiosity approach, emphasizing child-led learning. They provide opportunities for children to explore the wider community through regular trips. The training involves gaining a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification, with all training conducted remotely via Teams, including weekly online sessions for the first 8 weeks and tutor visits to your setting. You will also complete Level 3 Paediatric First Aid training.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English (Grade 4) and Maths (Grade 4). Strong communication, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and patience are essential.
