About the role
This apprenticeship is designed for individuals with prior experience in a nursery or school setting who are passionate about childcare and early years education. The role involves providing engaging activities that promote child learning and enjoyment, supporting children's development through planning and observations, and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment. Responsibilities include preparing food for children, assisting with their self-help needs, and adhering to all safeguarding and health & hygiene regulations. The apprenticeship also includes undertaking First Aid and relevant legal training. Upon successful completion, apprentices will qualify as Level 3 practitioners, with potential for a permanent role and opportunities to progress into various childcare-related careers such as social work, teaching, or management.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, organisation, problem-solving, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
