About the role

This apprenticeship is designed for individuals with some prior experience in a nursery or school setting who are passionate about childcare and early years education, aiming to advance their careers. As an apprentice, you will be involved in providing engaging activities that foster child learning and enjoyment, supporting children's development through planning and observation, and preparing and maintaining the learning environment and resources. Key duties include preparing meals, assisting children with self-help needs, demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm, adhering to safeguarding rules, and undertaking necessary training such as First Aid and any updates to legal requirements or standards. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining health and hygiene standards.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, non-judgemental attitude, and patience.
