Apprentice Learning Support Assistant

About the role

North Town Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable Learning Support Assistant Apprentice to join their dedicated staff team. This role involves supporting pupils' learning, building their confidence, and helping them achieve their full potential in a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities include assisting pupils with lessons, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), encouraging independence, monitoring progress, and reporting feedback. The apprentice will also support pupils during lunchtime, promoting positive social interaction and wellbeing. Pastoral and welfare duties include supporting social and emotional development, promoting safeguarding, and working professionally with staff, parents, and carers. The apprenticeship offers a rewarding career in education with opportunities for career progression within the Richard Huish Trust.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above, strong communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork, initiative, patience, and creativity.
