About the role
This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals with prior experience in a nursery or school setting who are passionate about childcare and early years education. The role involves providing excellent activities to support children's learning and development, preparing and maintaining the environment and resources, and assisting with meal preparation. Apprentices will also support children's self-help needs, be creative and enthusiastic, and adhere to safeguarding and health and hygiene rules. Successful completion leads to a Level 3 practitioner qualification, with potential for permanent employment and progression into other childcare-related roles such as social work, teaching, or management.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, customer care, problem-solving, presentation, logical thinking, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, and patience.
