About the role

An exciting opportunity to continue your childcare career with Parenta Training, working within a supportive early years setting at Riverside Day Nursery in Ilkley. You will develop your knowledge and skills whilst working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and supporting children aged 0-5 to learn, develop and thrive.

Key duties include supporting children's learning and development in line with the EYFS framework, planning and delivering engaging activities, completing observations, and contributing to assessments and learning journeys. You will also focus on supporting children's personal, social and emotional development, promoting positive behaviour and inclusive practice, and working closely with colleagues and families. Ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of children at all times, and following safeguarding, child protection, and confidentiality procedures are paramount. You will also be expected to recognise and appropriately report safeguarding concerns and contribute to a nurturing and stimulating learning environment.

Entry requirements

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Pass). Desired: GCSE in Early Years Practitioner (Pass). Key skills include communication, attention to detail, customer care, problem-solving, number skills, logic, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgemental, patience, and physical fitness.
