About the role
This apprenticeship is ideal for individuals with prior experience in a nursery or school setting who are passionate about childcare and early years and wish to advance their careers. The role involves providing excellent, engaging activities for children, supporting their learning and development through planning and observations, and preparing and maintaining the nursery environment and resources. You will also be responsible for preparing food for children, supporting their self-help needs, and demonstrating creativity and enthusiasm. Adherence to safeguarding rules, undertaking First Aid training, and ensuring health and hygiene standards are met are crucial aspects of this role.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Strong communication, organisational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Creativity, initiative, a non-judgemental attitude, and patience are also essential.
