About the role

This apprenticeship offers a hands-on opportunity to become a Vineyard Operative with COATES AND SEELY LTD. You will be involved in a variety of daily tasks including tractor and machinery operation, vineyard maintenance, and equipment upkeep. Responsibilities will cover safe and efficient operation of vineyard tractors for spraying, mowing, and cultivation, supporting harvest logistics, and maintaining accurate records. You will also participate in winter pruning, tying down, canopy management, crop thinning, and vineyard monitoring. Furthermore, you will assist with servicing and preventative maintenance of machinery, taking responsibility for routine checks and identifying potential issues early. The role requires a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental compliance, along with a detail-oriented and enthusiastic approach. This is a fantastic chance to gain practical experience in viticulture within a leading premium sparkling wine producer, with potential for career progression into Vineyard Assistant, Viticulture, or Winemaking roles.
