About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join a mixed family farm on the outskirts of Wem, focusing on beef finishing, sheep flock management, and arable enterprises. You will be part of a small, dedicated team and receive comprehensive training to complete a Level 3 qualification in Livestock Technician. Key duties include daily feeding of beef cattle, stock checking on the sheep flock, assisting with routine management operations, general farm yard maintenance, and machinery upkeep. The farm utilizes forward-thinking practices, supporting environmental schemes and livestock production with modern machinery and excellent handling facilities. Upon successful completion, there is a potential for a permanent position.
Entry requirements
- GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above. Desired skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, teamwork, and physical fitness.
