Optical Assistant Apprenticeship

About the role

This apprenticeship offers an exciting career opportunity in optics for individuals of all ages. As an Optical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, including welcoming customers, booking appointments, pre-screening patients, and recommending suitable frames. You will also ensure the smooth running of the store. The role requires enthusiasm for customer service and a desire to pursue a career in optics. Essential requirements include GCSE Maths at grade 9-4 (A*-C) and strong communication, organisation, customer care, teamwork, and initiative skills. The apprenticeship is a Level 3 qualification and will be completed over 1 year and 6 months, with daily on-the-job training provided by Specsavers Optical Superstores Limited. Upon completion, you will be a fully qualified Level 3 Optical Assistant with various career options.
