About the role
National Grid is seeking an Electrical Fitter to maintain critical electricity transmission infrastructure across the UK. You will gain hands-on experience rebuilding equipment, aligning components, and resolving mechanical faults at substations. Training includes industry-leading instruction at their Eakring Training Centre and practical site learning, leading to specialist high-voltage engineering expertise. This peripatetic role requires regular travel across the region and may involve occasional overnight stays and weekend working with paid overtime.
