About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join The Dalesman Group as an Apprentice Production Operative. You will be involved in the day-to-day activities within the production area, ensuring the safety, legality, and quality of products. Key responsibilities include following instructions from the Production Leadership Team, adhering to factory rules and operating procedures for machinery, and carrying out cleaning tasks. The role also involves assisting with stocktakes, maintaining high hygiene standards, reporting defects, and potentially operating company forklift trucks and motorised pallet trucks. You will contribute to a safe working environment, collaborate with other departments, and may assist in training other operatives. This role requires adherence to the Quality Management System and a commitment to continuous improvement. The apprenticeship includes monthly training with Plumpton College, which can be conducted online or at the workplace. Upon completion, there is a clear progression route from Production Operative to Senior Production Operative, Lead Production Operative, and Production Supervisor.
