Apprentice Early Years Teaching Assistant

About the role

Join Eastwood Community School as a Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils with their learning, behaviour and wellbeing. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging activities, provide individual support, promote inclusion and help create a safe, positive and supportive learning environment where every pupil can thrive. Duties include supporting learning and development, communication with pupils, parents and professionals, sharing information confidentially, safeguarding and promoting welfare, and administrative tasks like preparing materials and supervising exams. You will also participate in appraisal and training activities. The school aims to provide a safe, caring, stimulating, creative and happy environment where every child can thrive and learn to the best of their abilities, becoming caring, skilful, confident and well-balanced individuals.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English Grade C/4 and GCSE Mathematics Grade C/4. Key skills include communication, attention to detail, organisation, problem-solving, numerical ability, teamwork, creativity, and initiative.
