Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3 Early Years Educator

About the role

This Level 3 apprenticeship at Fig Tree Day Nursery in Birmingham is designed for individuals with prior experience in nursery or school settings who are passionate about childcare and early years education. You will gain a Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification through a combination of remote online training and practical experience. Duties include providing engaging activities for children, supporting their learning and development, preparing the environment and resources, preparing food, assisting with self-help needs, and adhering to safeguarding and health and hygiene standards. Upon successful completion, you will develop into a qualified Level 3 practitioner with potential for permanent employment and opportunities for further career progression into roles such as social work, teaching, or management. Training is delivered remotely via Teams, with weekly online sessions for the initial 8 weeks, and your tutor will provide ongoing support and site visits.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English (Grade 4) and GCSE Maths (Grade 4). Essential skills include communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, being logical, teamwork, creativity, initiative, being non-judgmental, and patience.
