About the role

The Quality Control Laboratory Apprentice will support the Quality Control team at HECEL COMPOSITES LTD in Cambridge. This role involves developing practical laboratory skills while undertaking a recognised Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. Key responsibilities include assisting with routine laboratory testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, preparing samples and equipment, performing analytical testing under supervision, accurately recording results, and maintaining laboratory equipment. The apprentice will also follow health, safety, and environmental requirements, assist with stock control, and participate in continuous improvement activities. The apprenticeship is with CSR SCIENTIFIC TRAINING LIMITED and includes on-the-job training and theoretical knowledge, with potential for BTEC Level 3 Applied Science. Upon completion, apprentices can apply for professional registration. This is a genuine apprenticeship opportunity with a clear career progression path into a full-time technician role. Please note, applicants must have been a UK resident for a minimum of 3 years, be 18 years or older, and be able to drive due to the manufacturing site's location. Entry requirements

  • GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) in Maths, English, and Science. Desired: A-level in Science or equivalent (Grade C or above).
