About the role

This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to join Hexcel Composites Ltd as a Quality Control Mechanical Laboratory Apprentice in Cambridge. You will be integral to the Quality Control team, ensuring finished products meet stringent quality standards. The role involves developing practical laboratory skills through a recognised Level 3 Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. Key responsibilities include assisting with sample preparation and mechanical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will gain hands-on experience in mechanical testing, laboratory operations, and quality systems. The apprenticeship includes on-the-job training and theoretical knowledge, with a Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification awarded upon completion. This position is ideal for individuals with strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a willingness to learn. Progression opportunities into a full-time technician role are available.

Entry requirements

• GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science. Desired: A Level in Science or equivalent at Grade C or above.
