About the role

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive training program to become a Service Technician/Mechanic at Volvo Cars Guildford Autocare, part of Bells Motor Group. You will be involved in all aspects of vehicle maintenance and repair, from routine servicing to complex diagnostics. Duties include using diagnostic equipment, testing parts, conducting inspections, maintaining electronic systems, and completing paperwork. The role offers exposure to traditional, hybrid, and electronic engines, providing a diverse technical training experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the automotive industry. Essential qualifications include GCSEs in English and Maths at grade 9-4. The apprenticeship is a 3-year program with training delivered through a blend of virtual and face-to-face sessions, including block release weeks at a state-of-the-art training center in Daventry. Upon completion, you will gain an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship Standard and relevant certifications, with opportunities for career progression to team leader or management roles.

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade 9-4. Excellent communication, IT, organizational, problem-solving, and teamwork skills are desirable.
