About the role
This apprenticeship at Velta, Witham, offers a fantastic opportunity to build your career in stock control and logistics. You’ll learn how to manage inventory, liaise with suppliers, place orders, and keep accurate records, all while working as part of a supportive and experienced warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Under the guidance of the Warehouse Operators, the apprentice will learn to:
Goods Inbound: Unload, inspect, and check incoming stock deliveries against paperwork
Inventory Control: Put away goods into correct locations and support regular stock checks
Order Picking: Locate and extract items accurately using digital or paper pick-lists
Packing & Dispatch: Securely wrap, pack, and label goods for safe transport to customers
Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment
Systems & IT: Use warehouse management software (WMS) and hand-held scanning devices.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Administrative skills, Team working, Physical fitness
