About the role

This Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship at Radbrook Green Pharmacy offers a fantastic opportunity to join a community-focused pharmacy and support the pharmacist and wider team in the day-to-day running of the establishment. Responsibilities include accurately receiving, processing, and preparing prescriptions, dispensing medicines under supervision, and labeling and packaging them according to pharmacy procedures. The role involves providing excellent customer service, answering routine queries, and directing patients to the pharmacist when necessary. You will also be involved in stock management, including ordering, receiving, checking, and putting away pharmacy stock, while monitoring stock levels and expiry dates. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment is crucial, alongside adhering to all pharmacy procedures, legal requirements, and confidentiality guidelines. The apprenticeship also includes support with NHS and private prescription administration, maintaining accurate records, and effective teamwork. The training will cover all required apprenticeship learning and assessments, aiming to develop knowledge and skills to work safely and confidently as a Pharmacy Services Assistant. Upon successful completion, there are opportunities for progression to a permanent Pharmacy Services Assistant or Dispenser role, with potential to advance to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician apprenticeship.
