Playworker Apprentice

About the role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Playworker Apprentice to join our team at AJB SPORTS IN EDUCATION LIMITED in Malvern. You'll support safe, fun, and inclusive play for children across all key stages, working alongside experienced staff. This role involves delivering breakfast club, after-school clubs, and lunchtime activities, facilitating engaging play, crafts, and sports. You will also support holiday camp programmes and interventions, and assist with EYFS children. Key responsibilities include setting up equipment, conducting risk assessments, planning and delivering high-quality play activities, ensuring an inclusive environment, and actively seeking children's views. Safeguarding children is paramount, requiring adherence to procedures and reporting concerns. You will also assist with preparing snacks and providing care, including intimate care respectfully. This apprenticeship offers excellent career progression opportunities in playwork, childcare, education, and youth work, with potential to progress to Level 3 qualifications and further employment.
