About the role

An excellent opportunity to work as a nursery assistant at Canopy Nursery. You will receive exceptional support, training and mentoring within the nursery setting and from your skills coach at Juniper Training. You will gain an understanding of policies & procedures and child development and knowledge of EYFS and Canopy curriculum. Duties include delivering high care and education standards, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, supporting the Canopy curriculum with a child-centred approach, and demonstrating effective communication with all stakeholders. You will also ensure health and safety policies are followed, assist with day-to-day tasks like hygiene and room preparation, understand referral processes when necessary, and attend staff meetings and training for continuous professional development. Canopy Children's Day Nursery will offer further development and progression whenever possible. Are you able to travel to the nursery within the advertised working hours?

Entry requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths D-3 or Level 1 FS. Desired: GCSE English and Maths A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 FS. Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Number skills, Team working, Creative, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Experience of working with children, Caring and compassionate.
