Early Years Practitioner (Level 2) or Educator (Level 3) Apprentice

About the role

Formby Day Nursery Ltd is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and passionate individual to join their team as an Early Years Apprentice. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with young children aged 0-5 years while completing a recognized childcare qualification. The apprentice will work as part of a team to provide a safe, caring, stimulating, and inclusive environment, developing knowledge and skills aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and the nursery's ethos. Key responsibilities include maintaining confidentiality, following nursery policies, upholding professional standards, and demonstrating a positive attitude towards learning and teamwork. Essential qualities include a genuine interest in working with children, reliability, good communication skills, and a commitment to safeguarding. Upon successful completion, there is potential to transition into a permanent role as a qualified Early Years Practitioner/Educator.

Entry requirements

• GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above. Desired skills include communication, teamwork, child development knowledge, safeguarding and welfare, observation and assessment, personal care, flexibility, energy, creativity, patience, and empathy.
