About the role

Everyone Active Stevenage Swimming Centre is looking for a motivated Apprentice Recreation Assistant. Gain a Level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification, lifeguard, swimming teacher and fitness qualifications while earning. This 12-month work-based programme will include both on and off-the-job training and give you a Level 2 Leisure Team Member qualification. You will learn effective communication, how to deliver high customer service standards, maintain cleanliness and housekeeping, and ensure equipment setups are completed safely and on time. A National Pool Lifeguard qualification will be gained, requiring competent swimming skills. You'll also achieve a swimming teacher and fitness qualification. This position involves day, evening, and weekend work, including public holidays, and requires an enhanced DBS check.
