About the role
This apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career in Childcare as an Early Years Apprentice with Tiddlywinks Day Nursery in Walmersley. The employer is committed to providing comprehensive training and development, along with clear pathways for career progression. Daily duties will involve contributing to a high standard of care for children, supporting nursery staff, assisting in daily routines, and helping to implement age-appropriate activities. You will maintain accurate records of achievement for key children and work collaboratively with parents, including those of children with special or additional needs, to ensure their full integration into the nursery. The role also requires supporting all staff, liaising with parents, and attending out-of-hours activities such as training and staff meetings. Flexibility is key, as you'll be prepared to assist wherever needed, including domestic tasks and maintaining the cleanliness of your designated room. Awareness of specific dietary requirements for babies and children, and adherence to company policies and procedures, are essential. Successful candidates will benefit from full training and support from The Growth Company, including access to their Learning and Development programme and various training sessions throughout the year. There are opportunities for further development and progression within the company for the right individuals.
Entry requirements
- GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 or above.
